LMMT COMMUNITY SESSIONS: Back to School Body Care Class
We have developed a fast-paced, fun, and informative class geared towards students as they return to the class room! Parents are welcome to join and even participate (especially encouraged for elemtary school ages). As with all of our LMMT Community Sessions, this class is free and open to the public.
We are hosting two classes on Sunday, August 26th based on age…
3:30-4:30 Elementary & Middle School students
5:00-6:00 High School students
And we are so thankful to be partnering with the fantastic Tiger Rock Martial Arts dojo across the street from us in Marietta (1811 Roswell Rd). They have a very large space, so this means we can open the class up to more of the community! Even though it is a large space, we are asking that everyone please RSVP to help ensure all recipients receive a handout (we’re covering a LOT, so you’ll want this).
So about this class…
Amanda & Dr. Bree will be presenting. In general, we love providing useful information to empower out clients and community members to more proactively care for themselves. We are especially excited to extend this knowledge to our next generation! We see so many patterns from years of sitting hunched over desks and in front of computers, and postures that began developing as soon as we had to start carrying over-loaded backpacks. We hear clients talk about how their tension headaches, migraines, anxiety, and stress cycles have existed as long as they can remember- since childhood!
What if positive habits were learned earlier? What if kids grew up practicing the prevention techniques we know can help offset poor postures from daily habits? What if kids knew how to help reduce tension headaches or the physical responses to stress before ever reaching college? Our hope is to help instill positive habits early, lessening or even preventing much of what we see in the office requiring treatment day-to-day.
And of course we know that the beginning of every school year is a hot bed for cold and flu viruses, so we will also cover some natural ways to support the body when it is exposed to illness.
It’s a lot to get through, so PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY!
Doors will be open at least 15min before each class, and we will have time for questions just after each class.
As a final note, there will be a lot of movement during the class, so we encourage athletic wear.
So excited to share all this good stuff. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
